About the Edition

Contains arrangements of Bartók’s piano method, the Mikrokosmos, as a sight-reading volume for two cellos, in increasing difficulty.

The bottom part starts in first position on the D and A strings. Eventually, the student reads through fourth position.

Then, the student begins the book again, reading the top part, which trains thumb position, tenor clef and treble clef.

60 pieces are for two cellos.
Six have been arranged for three cellos.
One has been arranged for four cellos.
